After spending the first half of my life in Québec City, I am spending the second half in Ontario. Even though I am considered bilingual by many, I do not think I am, since I don’t yet know the name of plants, trees and flowers in both languages. After moving to Kingston five years ago, I was fortunate to join RMCC staff. In 2009, I took over the position of Administrative Assistant for the Departments of English and French Studies. Communicating with academics, in either French of English or both, keeps you on your toes, in search of the right word or phrase. This effort inspired me to go back to school and to pursue my B.A. in French Literature with the Division of Continuing Studies. Being surrounded by students and professors every day is very inspiring and invigorating in this long-term endeavour. I consider myself very fortunate to be with so many talented people in search of excellence.
