Chief Petty Officer First Class Elizabeth Lindsay, CD

Chief Petty Officer First Class (CPO1) Elizabeth Lindsay joined the Canadian Forces (CF) in1981 as a Supply Technician. Upon completion of her initial trades training (QL3), she was posted to Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Halifax and served a two year sea tour aboard HMCS Cormorant. In 1985, now Leading Seaman Lindsay was posted to CFB Comox as the Immediate Operational Requirements Clerk for a period of two years, at which point she completed her QL5 trades training. She then served another two year sea tour as Rations Clerk aboard HMCS Provider.
In 1989 she was posted to CFB Esquimalt in a Customer Services capacity, completed the Junior Leadership Course and was promoted to Master Seaman (MS). The following year she was posted to 102 CF Technical Services Detachment in Halifax as the Refit Coordinator. In 1991, then MS Lindsay was posted back to the East Coast to HMCS Protecteur in charge of the Warehouse. In 1993 she completed a six month tour in the Golan Heights and on return was posted to CFB Shearwater. During this period she completed a year long French course and received a bilingual profile.
In 1995, MS Lindsay served aboard HMCS Ville de Québec in charge of the Supply Office. Upon promotion to Petty Officer Second Class (PO2) in 1996, she was posted to the Canadian Forces Naval Engineering School as the Senior Supply Technician. She completed her QL6 training course and was posted to 3 Canadian Support Group in Montreal, Quebec as the section commander, in charge of the warehouse and in charge of the Local Purchases Cell. During this period she was also deployed to Bosnia, Kosovo and Cambodia. In 2001, she was promoted to Petty Officer First Class (PO1) and posted to the Canadian Forces Support Unit in Ottawa as the Regimental Quartermaster at the Dwyer Hill Training Centre. In 2003, then she became the Career Manager for the Supply Technician Occupation for the ranks of Private and Corporal. In 2004, she was promoted to Chief Petty Officer Second Class (CPO2) and in 2005 served a nine month tour in the Golan Heights as Camp Sergeant Major.
In 2006, then CPO2 Lindsay became the Supply Technician Career Manager for the ranks of Master Corporal and Sergeant. In 2007, she served another sea tour aboard HMCS Toronto, participating in Operation ENDEAVOUR as the Logistics Department Coordinator. In 2008, she returned to Ottawa with responsibility for CF International Purchases at the Director General of Procurement Services. In 2009, she returned to the Director of Military Careers as the Career Manager for the Ill and Injured and the CF Postal Clerk Occupation. CPO1 Lindsay was promoted to her current rank in 2010.
CPO1 Lindsay was appointed College Chief of the Royal Military College of Canada in June 2011.
