Reunion Weekend 2011: Connecting with the past
KINGSTON, Ont. – The Royal Military College of Canada’s Reunion Weekend kicked off with a splash with the arrival of the Chasse-Galerie on Thursday, September 29th.
The Chasse-Galerie arrives at RMCC
The 15 former RMCC Cadets (Ex-Cadets), including the Honourable Senator Joe Day; Mr. Marius Grinius, Canada's permanent representative to the Office of the United Nations; and General John de Chastelain (Ret'd), left Ottawa in a voyageur canoe September 23rd. The group was raising money for the Danny McLeod Athletic Endowment Fund, which supports varsity athletics at RMCC, and the Royal Military College Saint-Jean through the RMC Club of Canada Foundation.

The Chasse-Galerie is greeted by RMCC Officer Cadets, students and staff.
The Ex-Cadets call this trip the Chasse-Galerie or "flying canoe" after a popular French Canadian tale of voyageurs. This was the fourth voyage of this modern Chasse-Galerie, which has raised nearly a quarter of a million dollars for the fund so far.
The Chasse-Galerie salutes the Commandant, RMCC.
