Dr Denford a joint le département en 2008 comme faculté militaire et encore en 2012 comme faculté civile après un carrier de 24 ans dans l'Armée en transmissions. Il détient un doctorat en gestion de l'université Queen's (2009), une maîtrise en administration des affaires du CMR (2002) et un baccalauréat en génie (génie gestion) du CMR (1992). Ses principaux intérêts de recherche sont les stratégies, le leadership et l'innovation en connaissance et systèmes d'information.
