In his graduate studies, Robert Paquet (B.A. Linguistics and Literature, M.A. Linguistics – Laval) focused on the linguist Gustave Guillaume’s “Psychomécanique du langage”. He first taught French as a second language in a private school before moving on to study and teach linguistics, literature and French grammar at Université Laval and then at Queen’s University. He started teaching at the Royal Military College in 1997 in the Department of French, Literature and Culture, and then joined the Language Centre in 1998. He has been the Director since 2013.
