June Convocation

In order to safeguard the health and safety of our students, faculty and staff, the Royal Military College of Canada (RMC) will not be holding a Convocation ceremony in its traditional form this June at the Canadian Forces College, Toronto. For those meeting the eligibility requirements for graduation, all degrees will be conferred on June 24 2020, in absentia. Diplomas will be mailed out to the mailing address that graduates have entered in My Services. For those who do not provide a mailing address in My Services, your diploma will be retained at RMC for pickup at an appropriate time in the future.

For non ROTP students, if you prefer to have your degree conferred at a future convocation then you will need to pull your application to graduate as soon as possible. Please re-apply to graduate through Mrs. Naomi Greer-Balance or Mr. Martin Laforest if you are an undergraduate student or a graduate student, respectively, in time for whatever convocation you choose.

RMC understands the significance of the convocation ceremonies to our graduates, and their families and friends. Accordingly, those choosing to convocate in June are encouraged to have their degree presented by the Chancellor or Vice-Chancellor at a future convocation. If you choose this option, we ask that you inform Mrs. Naomi Greer-Balance or Mr. Martin Laforest, for undergraduate students or for graduate students, respectively, in time for the convocation of your choosing.

On 20 November 2020, RMC will have a Convocation Ceremony, either in person or virtually. We will be presenting all the names of those who had their degree conferred on June 24th. Please send us a photo of yourself that we can display when we present your name no later than 1 November 2020 to the following email address:

The Commandant and Principal are very sorry to have had to make this difficult decision but we all hope you understand the extraordinary measures that need to be taken during this difficult time.
