Leadership

  1. What steps should RMC take to improve the leadership skills of its graduates? (CDS, Environmental Commanders, Arms Directors, CFRETS, Commanding Officers, RMC Faculty, RMC graduates)
  2. What qualities can be instilled in an officer at a military college that would not be available from other institutions? (CDS, Environmental Commanders, Commanding Officers, RMC Faculty)
  3. Is the formal education component of the undergraduate program well adapted to what can be anticipated as being the future context of the Canadian Forces' mission and roles? (CDS, Environmental Commanders, ADM(Per), ADM(Pol), RMC Faculty, Staff Colleges Faculty)
  4. Are the communication skills of RMC graduates adequate? Where in the military or academic programs should further development of these skills be fostered? (Commanding Officers, Staff College Faculty, RMC graduates)

Academic Program

  1. Is there a requirement for a range of degrees at RMC or would a basic (General) Bachelors of Science, Military Science or Arts be sufficient? (ADM(Per), ADM(Pol), Environmental Commanders, RMC Faculty)
  2. Are the undergraduate academic standards of RMC appropriate? If not, what changes are needed? (ADM(Per), ADM(Pol), RMC Faculty, Staff Colleges Faculty)

  7. Does the education and training of officer candidates adequately prepare them for the exercise of leadership and judgement as needed, especially for peace operations? Professional Development / Military Ethos

  2. Do the cadets know what military qualities are expected of them? (Commanding Officers, RMC Faculty, RMC graduates, cadets)

  4. What do you think of the recent graduates of RMC? What value do they deliver to you? What is your opinion of RMC graduates 10 years and beyond after graduation? (Arms Directors, Commanding Officers)

Military / Academic Interface

  1. At first sight there does not seem to be an especially good integration of military training and academic education at RMC. On the contrary there seems to be a barrier between these two dimensions, the task of integration being left to the individual student. By which ways and means can a better integration be obtained? (CFRETS, RMC Faculty, RMC graduates, cadets)
  2. How could the academic and military wings be integrated to provide a combined course of study to produce more effective officers? (RMC Faculty, RMC graduates, cadets)
  3. How can the military, academic and language training programs be improved to meet the needs for cross-cultural sensitivity and related skills which may be needed in an international setting? (ADM(Per), CFRETS, RMC Faculty, RMC graduates)
  4. What changes would reduce the separation between the four pillars of academic, military, language and physical fitness preparation for the RMC cadet? Would enhanced integration of these pillars be beneficial? (CFRETS, RMC Faculty, RMC graduates, cadets)

CF/RMC Interface
