Guest speaker, Dr. Julie Paquette, Part-time Professor at Saint-Paul University and Lecturer at the Université du Québec en Outaouais, gave a conference entitled: "The Salman Rushdie Case: What Caused a Scandal? Postcolonial Thoughts on the Intersection Between Arts and Politics".

Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation, the Department of French, Literature, and Culture was able to organize a cultural trip joining two destinations in  Montreal:

  • Exhibition at the National Library: "The Library at Night: Great libraries of the world in a virtual-reality universe" by Robert Lepage
  • Theater play Waiting for Godot at the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde.

Guest speaker, Dr. Julien Lefort-Favreau, Bader postdoctoral fellow at Queen’s University, gave a conference about May 68 and literature entitled: "Memory twists and self-criticism in installation narratives".

Guest speaker, Dr. Alain Goldschläger, professor at the University of Western Ontario and specialist of the Shoah, gave two conferences. The first one was entitled: "What Do Complotists Actually Say?" and the second: " Shoah testimonies: a changing narrative".

Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation, the Department of French, Literature, and Culture was able to organize a cultural trip to the Théâtre du Nouveau Monde in Montreal: La divine illusion by Michel Marc Bouchard.
