Originally from France, Audrey moved to Canada in 2019, where she taught French as a second language, first at the language school in CFB Cold Lake and then at the CFB Kingston Language School, before joining the RMC Kingston Language Centre team.
After studying English and English literature, Ms. Geffroy went on to obtain a bachelor’s degree in education from the Université de Nancy II, followed by a French as a Foreign Language (FFL) teaching diploma from the Université de Rennes II and a master’s degree in FFL from the Université de Grenoble-Alpes.
A language enthusiast, she studied five other languages besides French: English, German, Russian, Italian and Spanish. These studies have helped her make links between different idioms and better understand and teach the process of language acquisition.
Prior to teaching in Canada, Ms. Geffroy taught English and FFL in France. Before devoting all of her time to teaching, she also worked in commerce and as a press photographer. Today, photography remains one of her great loves and something she does in her spare time.
