Ms. Ladouceur was born in Montréal in 1978. From her first year of primary school, she knew that she wanted to become a teacher.

In 1995, after completing high school at the École secondaire Armand-Corbeil in Terrebonne, she continued her studies at the Collège de Bois-de-Boulogne in Montréal, where she obtained a degree in social sciences and mathematics in 1997. She then pursued her university studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in teaching high school French in 2002, with additional training in history, along with her teaching certificate.

Ms. Ladouceur began her career as a substitute teacher before getting a replacement contract in the Trois-Rivières region. In August 2003, she moved to Fredericton, New Brunswick, where she taught at the city’s Francophone high school. Seeking new challenges, she accepted a position teaching French as a second language at the CFB Gagetown Language School. She quickly grew fond of the professional environment and taught there from February 2004 to July 2007. She later became an education consultant, a position she held there until moving to Kingston in 2015.

She then decided to return to her initial passion—teaching French—at the CFB Kingston Language School. Since 2019, she has been part of the team at the Royal Military College of Canada’s Language Centre.

Ms. Ladouceur is married to Kevin and is the mother of two hockey-loving boys, Tristan and Alex.
