After studying modern languages (B.A.) at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and translation (D.E.S.S and M.A.) at l’Université de Montréal, Sarah Bouchard turned to teaching French as a Second Language to military personnel in 2009. Teaching first at CFB Kingston and then in the National Capital Region (NCR), she joined the team at the Royal Military College of Canada in Kingston in 2017.
Passionate about her profession and languages, she enjoys guiding her students in their learning and seeing them evolve in a welcoming, enjoyable and structured environment.
Her military family experience often enables her to share her real-life experiences with the Officer Cadets and Naval Cadets who attend her classes.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Bouchard has held various supervisory positions and appreciates the versatility these experiences have given her, as they provide a different perspective of the needs and realities of the teaching environment.
Originally from Saguenay (Chicoutimi), Quebec, she is interested in classic literature, science fiction, video games, and crafts.
